Teaser Tuesdays - October 5

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

Nadia by Susan K Downs and Susan May Warren (Heirs of Anton #2)

'She watched him steal back through the forest, where the traitorous guard waited for his payoff. Aranoff's wide shoulders hunched as he fought the rake of the cold wind, and she wondered if she'd chosen the right man when she married Michael Moore.'

This is a really interesting series. It's kind of written backwards - the first book is modern day and as the series progresses it goes back into the past a little further with each book. Plus the books are almost impossible to put down.

That sounds interesting..the story going backwards. I like this teaser and I'm wondering too whether she married the right man. What are they all doing?

Here's my TEASER for this week

My! Isn't this a lovely review to find on a gray and gloomy Tuesday morning in Ohio?! I'm delighted to hear you are enjoying NADIA and the other Heirs of Anton books. Thanks for the kind words.

While I'm here, I might as well play along...
From my current read-in-progress, THE SHAPE OF MERCY by Susan Meissner:
"The frail letters on the first page were barely legible; they looked like whispers, if whispers had form. ...I could tell without touching it that Mercy's diary was too fragile to be held in my hands, too delicate to bear the weight of my fingers. The thought made me sad."

Sounds like she's having second thoughts! My teaser is at The Crowded Leaf.
