A BIG thank you to Amber at Seasons of Humility for this award. I was having a tough day and it just made it better.

So, the 7 things about me:

1. I love watching old movies and one of my favourite actors is Cary Grant.
2. I still like playing with Lego sometimes.
3. I miss living near rolling green hills.
4. Beauty and the Beast is my favourite Disney princess movie.
5. I once bought a recipe book because I liked the look of the food on the front, only to discover that that recipe isn't even in it.
6. Sometimes when I watch movies, I want to travel to those places to experience them for myself.
7. I have started collecting teapots.

I'm too tired to think everything through, so I'm just passing this award on to one person

One Lovely Blog Award

Apparently there are two rules for this award. Amber bent the second one, and I am going to do the same.

Firstly, here are the 7 required facts about me:

1. One wall in my bedroom is completely devoted to bookshelves and they are overflowing with books.
2. One of the places in the world  I most want to see is Prince Edward Island. I've wanted to go there ever since I read Anne of Green Gables by L M Montgomery.
3. I have a Compassion child who lives in Columbia.
4. I have finally found the thing I am most passionate about - working with and being an example for children.
5. There are butterflies all around my bedroom (not real ones).
6. I love a good mystery.
7. I believe that there is only one way to get to heaven - by believing in Jesus Christ and trusting in Him and the work He did on the cross by dying for each and every one of us.

Secondly, I have to nominate some other blogs. The actual number is 15,  but I am only nominating 5.

• I am the oldest of 4
• I am about to start my second career

• My favourite craft is cross stitch

• I am the least athletic of all my siblings, but the only one to have won an athletics medal

Seven facts about myself:

1. I believe that Jesus is the Son of God, that He died to save me, and that He is preparing a place for me.
2. I long for the day when the man God intends for me comes into my life.
3. I "read" books to my dolls and teddies as a toddler.
4. My favourite flowers are Forget-Me-Nots.
5. I collect postcards - mostly I buy them when I'm on holiday from the place where I am, but not always.
6. I love Ken Duncan Panographs. There is one on the wall above my desk.
7. I was very excited today to find a bag of marshmallows that only had white ones in it. I don't like pink or any other coloured ones.
