Spring Cleaning Challenge Update

I'm so glad Monica decided to extend the time for this challenge. I've really been struggling to find the time to do any of my decluttering tasks and when I do have time I'm just too tired.

Hopefully over the Easter weekend I will be able to find time to do some.

Just to remind you (and myself) my goals are:

~ sort through the things under my bed
~ sort throught the things under my desk

I'm now adding:

~ catch up on all filing and recording business things

Every time I do the last thing, I tell myself that from now on I will keep up with things. That generally lasts a week (if I'm lucky) and then I go back to letting things pile up until my trays are full to overflowing and I can't close the tray drawers.

Yes, cats can and do read. I have a photo of my cat Smudge reading the Garfield comic in a newspaper.

And this is absolutely correct.

Friday Fill-in #117

This week, I took the first sentence in 6 of my favorite books...you fill them in...with the right words or even better, ones of your own.

And...here we go!

1. "In a hole in the ground there lived a mole, but not just any mole. This mole's name was Moe."

2. "I can't remember you but that ain't no matter."

3. "After dark the rain began to fall again, washing away all traces that we had even been there."

4. "Forty chest of dubloons from the hold of the Spanish galleon."

5. "There was a hand in the darkness, and reached out towards me, clutching yesterday's newspaper."

6. "Accidents ambush the unsuspecting, but the wise looks out for danger."

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to watching Happy Feet and hoping Geelong beats Hawthorn in the footy, tomorrow my plans include maybe looking at more houses and getting a hair cut and Sunday, I want to once again have a planning meeting for GNG, fellowship at church and a quiet afternoon!

Lottery Winner

I saw an interview on TV with an old farmer who won ten
million dollars in the lottery.

Naturally he was asked what he was going do with all that
money.

He scratched his head and said, "Not sure as I know right
off. Guess I'll keep farmin' till it's all gone."

Received from Thomas Ellsworth.

Sadly in the world today this is true for a lot of farmers.
